Buttermilk Band has been one of the most successful cover and backing bands in the
southern United States. While they're little known outside the region, their handful
of singles from the early 1980s are, for record collectors, among the most sought
after in modern soul and boogie funk. This compilation includes all songs released
by the band, remastered and reissued for the first time.

Netwerk was a funk/R&B project, compising of three in-demand session musicians,
who worked for Gary Bartz, BB & Q Band, Cameo, Cindy Lauper, Slave and others.
Past Due Records presents the official reissue of Netwerk's only album 'I Need You',
including eight unreleased songs and the story of the band written by Jacob Arnold.
This album was recorded for Salsoul Records in 1984, but was never released due to
the label's mounting financial issues. 'I Need You' remains as one of the most
sought after boogie funk and R&B album from New York City in the mid-80's.

San Antonio, Texas has never been known as a hotspot for boogie/funk music and sweet
modern soul. Nevertheless, Horizon, formed by the Boggess brothers and Freddy
Carrillo, had a five-year run of local fame in the early 1980's during which they
had frequent airplay and even were a support act for the Commodores. With only a
handful of superb and very sought after private press 7" releases, Horizon reached
a cult status amongst funk and soul collectors worldwide. This 2LP compilation
includes all rare Horizon 7" releases along with ten previously unreleased songs.

been one of the most successful cover and backing bands in the Southern United
States and has been touring as the Temptations' backing band for years. While
they're little known outside the region, their handful of singles from the early
1980's are, for record collectors, among the most very sought after.
"No Money - No Honey" was written during the Covid pandemic. The result is an
infectious boogie funk tune that bring us straight back to the original Chocolate
Buttermilk Band classic funk sound. Limited to 300 copies!

"Their First". This record was produced by Bill Withers in 1979 and is a cult
favorite amongst disco fans. 'Their First' includes the cover of Antonio Carlos
Jobim's 'Wave'. This EP is fully remastered and comes with an insert with the story
of the band. Limited to 500 copies.
